‘Avalanche’, a bridal jewellery designed by Minawala Jewellers of Mumbai, was judged as Best Diamond Vivaah Jewellery of the year 2007, at the Retail Jewellers Award Nite 2007, recently held in Mumbai.

The necklace almost seems an avalanche of diamonds with over 63 carats making its design. “We design our jewellery,” says Minawala’s Shehzad Zaveri, India’s poet jeweller, “at an emotional level. This bridal collection is not about beauty alone. Our inspiration has always been the feelings of a woman, in this instance, the passion, the rush of emotions of an overwhelmed heart when she sees a gifted fabulous piece of jewellery for the first time. It’s an Avalanche.”
The Retail Jewellers Award Nite is the considered as the Oscars by India’s $12 billion jewellery industry, a prestigious platform .
