GJEPC, eBay, and DHL Join Forces for E-commerce Seminar at BDB

In a collaborative initiative to explore e-commerce prospects within the gems and jewellery industry, the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), in partnership with eBay and DHL, organized an insightful seminar at the Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) on January 18. The session witnessed active engagement from industry leaders and experts.

Anoop Mehta, President of BDB, extended a warm welcome, emphasizing the global trade significance of e-commerce. He underscored the vast potential within the gems and jewelry sector and highlighted the need for businesses to seize the opportunities offered by e-commerce for growth and sustainability.

Providing a succinct overview of e-commerce, Nitin Khandelwaal, GJEPC's Rajasthan Regional Director, emphasized its pivotal role in the industry. He discussed why embracing e-commerce is essential for the sector's development and long-term viability.

eBay delivered an informative presentation, showcasing its role as a platform connecting businesses with a presence in over 190 countries. The presentation detailed eBay's account management and prioritized support team, emphasizing their assistance in account setup, product listings, marketing, and global promotion. As a global logistics provider, DHL briefly highlighted how their services contribute to e-commerce logistics, emphasizing their crucial role in facilitating the smooth movement of goods within the e-commerce landscape.

The GJEPC International Event department provided updates on various international shows organized by the Council and highlighted the India Pavilion, offering participants a platform to showcase their products globally. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks from Mehul Shah, Vice President of BDB, expressing gratitude to all participants and collaborators. The event proved to be a valuable resource for industry players seeking to harness the potential of e-commerce in the gems and jewellery sector.
