In partnership with InvestHK, GJEPC organized the 'Exploring Hong Kong's Opportunities' seminar at Bharat Diamond Bourse on March 7, 2024.  Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director of GJEPC, highlighted Hong Kong's strategic importance as a gateway for Far East expansion, akin to Dubai's role in the Middle East. Dr. Jimmy Chang, Associate Director General of Investment Promotion at InvestHK, underscored Hong Kong's favourable business climate and its global demand facilitation capabilities. Ray expressed GJEPC's commitment to replicating the successful IJEX model from Dubai in Hong Kong, aiming to create new prospects for the gem and jewellery industry, particularly beneficial for the 85% small-scale enterprises among GJEPC's 10,000 registered members.
