The MSME Department of GJEPC organised an export awareness Chaupal titled “GJEPC se Judein aur Export Karen (Join GJEPC and Start Exporting)” at Zaveri Bazaar on November 27, aimed at helping first-time and aspiring jewellery exporters build the confidence and clarity needed to enter global markets.

Designed as an accessible, step-by-step learning session, the Chaupal simplified the export journey by outlining how to assess international market demand, select suitable product categories, understand Customs KYC norms, manage hand-carry shipments, and follow standard export procedures. Participants were also introduced to global customs requirements, as well as opportunities available through IJEX and key government-backed export incentive schemes.

The interactive format encouraged attendees to share real-life challenges, enabling the conversation to address practical concerns around documentation, logistics, compliance and buyer expectations.

Industry expert Mihir Shah of Universal Connection provided hands-on insights, helping demystify the operational realities of dealing with international buyers. Mithilesh Pandey of GJEPC detailed essential compliance guidelines, support mechanisms and pathways MSMEs can use to access overseas markets.

With over 25 participants, the Chaupal served as an effective knowledge-sharing platform, further strengthening the readiness of MSMEs and encouraging more businesses to take their first steps towards establishing themselves as exporters.
