Zen Diamond has partnered Francorp to scale franchise-led retail in India, targeting over 20 stores by 2026 across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities amid rising demand for branded diamond jewellery.
Zen Diamond has announced a strategic partnership with Francorp, the franchise consulting arm of Franchise India Brands Limited, to accelerate its expansion in India through a structured franchise-led retail model.
Founded in Istanbul in 2000, with jewellery-making heritage dating back to 1890, Zen Diamond operates more than 450 stores across 22 countries. In India, the brand currently has five operational stores located in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chandigarh.
As part of the partnership, Zen Diamond plans to scale its presence to over 20 franchise outlets by 2026. The expansion will focus on premium malls and prominent high-street locations across high-potential Tier 1 and Tier 2 markets.
Zen Diamond offers certified diamond jewellery across bridal, engagement and everyday wear categories. The brand’s India strategy is aligned with the ongoing shift from unorganised to branded jewellery retail, driven by evolving consumer preferences in urban and emerging cities.
India’s diamond jewellery market crossed $ 8.7 billion in early 2025 and is projected to grow at a CAGR of over 9 percent through 2030. Branded diamond jewellery accounts for more than 40 percent of sales in Tier 1 cities, while Tier 2 markets contribute nearly 20 percent and continue to expand.
“Zen Diamond is entering a pivotal growth phase in India, where consumers are actively seeking specialised diamond brands they can trust,” said Neil Sonawala of Zen Diamonds India. “With a global footprint of 450 stores, and a modern, design-driven identity, we are ideally positioned for Tier 1 and Tier 2 markets. Our partnership with Francorp will enable us to scale high-quality franchise stores while ensuring product innovation, service excellence, and transparency remain core to our brand.”
“Specialised diamond brands like Zen operate at the convergence of global aspiration and India’s evolving luxury mind-set,” said Gaurav Marya of Francorp and Franchise India Group. “Tier 1 and Tier 2 consumers are increasingly gravitating toward branded, design-led, trustworthy jewellery experiences.”
