The Indian Association for Gold Excellence and Standards (IAGES) and SPJIMR (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s S. P. Jain Institute of Management & Research) have launched the Advanced Leadership Programme in Gold Entrepreneurship, aimed at developing business leadership capabilities within India’s gold and jewellery industry.

The six-month executive programme combines SPJIMR’s academic curriculum with IAGES’ industry expertise and is targeted at young entrepreneurs, family-business successors, jewellery retailers and manufacturers involved in the gold trade.

The programme includes 75-plus campus sessions, with three weeks of immersive learning at SPJIMR’s Mumbai campus. Participants completing the programme will receive SPJIMR Executive Alumni status.

The curriculum covers Finance, Operations, Marketing, Strategy, Human Resources, Family Business and Artificial Intelligence. The programme is intended to address business skills including financial management, brand building, governance, technology adoption and succession planning.

Eligibility is open to participants aged 21 to 40, who hold a graduate qualification and are active in the gold and jewellery trade. The admission process includes online registration, an aptitude test, result declaration, fee payment and admission confirmation.

The last date to apply is September 30, 2026, with seats limited for the programme. Details on eligibility, curriculum and fees are available through IAGES.

Kaushlendra Sinha, Chief Executive Officer, IAGES, said the programme was created to bridge the gap between traditional trade knowledge and structured capabilities in areas such as finance, strategy and governance.

The programme forms part of IAGES’ broader focus on standardisation and professionalisation of India’s gold sector, extending its work in accreditation, assessment and industry standards into education and leadership development.
