Kolkata, September 28, 2026: Mahabir Danwar Jewellers (MDJ) hosted the grand finale of the fifth season of its ‘Couple No. 1’ contest at Fairfield by Marriott, Kolkata, marking the culmination of a two-month programme centred on couples and their relationships.

The fifth edition followed four previous seasons, with participating couples taking part in challenges focused on compatibility, creativity and understanding. Eleven couples qualified for the grand finale, with Aashish and Rajshree Mimani winning the title. Kanishka and Rakshita Jain were named first runners-up, while Sagar and Jyoti Gehani secured the second runners-up position. The winning couple received a trip to Baku as the grand prize.

The jury comprised actress Richa Sharma, motivational speaker Naina More, Radhika Nowlakha Agarwal, CEO, Benchmmark Group, and Rajeshwari Danwar, Design Head, Mahabir Danwar Jewellers.

Speaking at the event, MDJ Directors Vijay Danwar and Amit Danwar said the fifth season continued the brand’s initiative of celebrating relationships and the journeys shared by couples. They also congratulated the participating couples and winners.

A key highlight of the evening was the unveiling of ‘Rajwada – The Bridal Jewellery Collection’ by Mahabir Danwar Jewellers. The collection combines traditional Indian bridal jewellery influences with contemporary design elements and is positioned for modern brides seeking heritage-inspired pieces.
