KP Intersessional Fails to Reach Consensus on Marange

KP Chair suggests mini-summit of the KP major stakeholders at WDC Annual Meeting

Gaining a prelude into the forthcoming Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) slated for 22, December 2007, around 180 of the total 230 participants gathered at Rajputana Sheraton Jaipur, yesterday. The Secretary of JJS, Shri Rajiv Jain narrated the deliverables of the show’s fifth edition, including new additions in the stall area, a revamped floor plan and décor. The JJS-2007 would have more than 350 stalls, and will host 10 foreign companies. It would be supported by NID, IGI, Polygon & Goldsouk.%%A highlight of the show would be the debut of the annual JJS Goldsouk Jewellers Award, which the organisers intend to continue henceforth. Jain also noted the efforts taken to promote gemstones in 2006, including the Emerald Promotion Programme in 2006, and the 21-day Emerald Festival, and felicitated the winners of the International Emerald Poster Design Competition. Looking ahead, he stated that JJS would promote tanzanite during 2008 and 2009.The meeting was convened by Shri Vimal Chand Surana, while Shri Ajay Kala Jt. Secretary introduced the members of the working committee for JJS.
