The Israel Diamond Institute (IDI) is planning a full fledged participation for the Israel Diamond Industry at the approaching BASELWORLD fair. The trade event will provide a platform for the Israel diamond industry to step in and expand its base in European markets. At the fair, IDI will be seen promoting the strengths of the home diamond industry, its aptitude in design, diamond polishing and the ability to bear market challenges. %% IDI Chairman Moti Ganz said “Europe is a key market for the Israeli Diamond Industry. Our participation in BASELWORLD underscores our commitment to meeting the needs of the European market while furthering our growth internationally”. %% At the high profile breakfast press conference at BASELWORLD 2008, the IDI will talk on diamonds as a symbol of luxury. A panel discussion will feature leading Israeli companies in the luxury product market, high-end jewellery and watch brands, namely Korn Diamonds, Gemstar-Eshed and YEI-Yahlomei Espeka. The conference will be held on April 4, 2008 in the Osaka - Samarkand Congress Room of the Basel Convention Center. %% Eli Avidar, Managing Director of the IDI Group of Companies will present an update on the Israeli Diamond Industry “2007 – 2008: Challenges, Responses and New Directions.” He said “The Israeli Industry has proven its creativity and flexibility in adapting to market changes, and remains a world leader. IDI’s marketing efforts showcase the true meaning of our brand experience: The Israeli Diamond Industry – All You Could Ask For In One.” The Israeli diamond companies will be the majority of participants at the loose diamond category hall at the fair.
