GJIIE 2013 receives great response

The three day conglomeration of the country's leading jewellery design houses witnessed 12,000 visitors.

The World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) bourse member organisations in Germany and Thailand, recently held their respective Board elections. Both organisations have a membership body of fewer than 100 members. The elections at Thailand took place at the Bangkok Diamonds and Precious Stones Exchange (BDPSE). Election results say: Boonyong Assarasakorn is re-elected as president, Somchai Phornchindarak elected as vice president, Pichet Romhuttirerk to continue as Secretary General. The newly elected directors include - Sui-Hai Sae-Eng, Varin Assamongkorn, Worakit Kerdkitsadanont, Pranee Vithayasai and Suchi Archapiraj, while members of a special advisory committee are: Vichai Assarasakorn, Pornsit Sriotathikul, Komson Opassathavorn, Prida Tiasuwan, Dr. Savaraj Samchamarga, Chanvit Hiran-as and Vichian Veerasaksri. %% The elections in Germany were decided by the Diamant-und Edelsteinbörse Idar-Oberstein E.V. Accordingly, Jochen Müller has been re-elected for the second term as president, three vice presidents were voted in: Manfred Giloy, Christian Klein and Bernd Willi Ripp, while those elected as members to the bourse's Board are: Bipin Choksi, Dieter Hahn, Hans W. Hahn, Vinay Kothari, Hans-Dieter Krieger, Frank Mayer, Gerd Meng, Bernd Mildenberger, Albert Ruppenthal and Kurt Ziemer. Jörg Lindemann will continue as managing director. Last month, the WFDB member bourses in Belgium, Italy and Israel had held their Board elections.
