Since its last discovery of a large white diamond - a 196-carat white diamond from the Letšeng mine in Lesotho, in August, Gem Diamonds has been successful once again to draw out another large white diamond - a 185 carat rough white in October. The latter has been recovered from Letšeng's larger main pipe. %% Initial study of the stone indicates it would yield top color and top clarity polished diamonds, and has the potential to achieve a substantial price per carat, as reports say. %% The Letšeng mine has been reputed to be the source of not only these two noteworthy stones but also three of the world's twenty largest recorded diamonds since Gem Diamonds acquired the mine in 2006, reports add.
