A language option in Chinese has been launched as a new feature to International Gemological Institute’s (IGI) website, which had already been revamped in October this year. The respective website - www.igiworldwide.com allows the viewer to access myriad educational offerings through IGI’s School of Gemology, and opportunities to register for courses online. The revamped site now supports IGI’s presence in China, including its School of Gemology and laboratories in Shanghai and Hong Kong. %% The new language offering follows IGI’s keen understanding towards the growth of the Chinese diamond and jewellery market in the world jewellery market today. As China has grown into the second largest market for diamonds, the demand for diamond education is high. The Chinese language version also provides ease in accessing the “Everything You Always Wanted to Know” education section on the importance of certification, the 4Cs, buying with confidence, jewellery care tips and a glossary of common fine jewellery terms, among others.
