The Botswana government and De Beers appointed Brian McDonald as managing director of the Diamond Trading Company Botswana (DTCB). This appointment is effective April 1, 2007. %% Brian joined DTC in 1970. He is currently the executive director responsible for sorting and purchasing at the DTC in London, a job he has held since 2005. Prior to this appointment Brian held various positions including that of senior quality controller, deputy general manager and general manager of the Botswana Diamond Valuing Company (BDVC), which sorts and values the entire Debswana output.
