For the first time in the history of mining of diamonds, De Beers has launched diamind mining vessel which it has named 'Peace in Africa'. %% The company will mine for marine diamonds in the Atlantic, off Namaqualand in the Northern Cape Province. %% The vessel is equipped with a large undersea tracked mining tool (crawler) and has a specialised diamond recovery treatment plant on board.
