A 4 kg smoky quartz hand cut by Jaipur based craftsman Izzazuddin, is claimed by him as the world’s heraviest stone till date. His work on cutting this gem from a 29 kg rough prolonged for a year, along with help from his colleague Mohammad Mushtaq. The stone measures 11 cm in length and 18 cm in diameter. The two claim not to have used any machinery in deriving this stone. Izzazuddin affirms that the value of this stone is over Rs. 500,000.
