Divine Solitaires and Ranka Jewellers have announced a strategic growth roadmap focused on expanding their presence in Pune’s solitaire diamond jewellery market. The companies are targeting over 30% market share in the city’s solitaire segment over the next two to three years.

The announcement was made following a leadership meeting in Pune attended by Jignesh Mehta, MD & Founder of Divine Solitaires, alongside senior representatives from Ranka Jewellers. Discussions centred on category leadership, consumer acquisition, and long-term market expansion. The partnership between the two companies has completed 20 years. According to the companies, the association has focused on growing the natural diamond solitaire category through aligned retail and product strategies.

Pune’s natural diamond jewellery market is estimated at around Rs 2,500 crore, with solitaire diamond jewellery identified as one of the faster-growing segments. The companies stated that growth in the category is increasingly being driven by consumer demand, with buyers placing greater emphasis on quality assurance, transparency, design differentiation, and long-term value.

Ranka Jewellers currently operates around 15 stores across Pune. The retailer stated that its network and customer base position it strongly within the city’s premium jewellery market. The companies said future plans will include sharper assortment planning, increased in-store visibility, customer education initiatives, and a retail proposition focused on transparency, quality, and design differentiation.

Jignesh Mehta of Divine Solitaires said, “Our association with Ranka Jewellers has completed 20 years, which itself reflects the strength and consistency of this relationship. Pune is an extremely important market for natural diamond solitaires, and together, we have a clear and aggressive roadmap to further strengthen our leadership in this category.”

Tejpal Ranka of Ranka Jewellers said the partnership had delivered “strong business value”, citing healthy stock-to-turn ratios and repeat customer demand for Divine Solitaires products. Vastupal Ranka added that the category had shown “healthy movement, lower dead stock risk, and strong repeat customer interest” at the retail level.
