Kumar Jewels has launched The Maharani Edit, a bridal Polki jewellery collection inspired by traditional Indian royal jewellery. The collection features heritage-led designs intended for contemporary bridal wardrobes.

The assortment includes ruby chokers, Navratan necklaces and Polki jewellery, combining traditional gemstone and diamond references with bridal formats. The collection draws on jewellery associated with royal Indian aesthetics and heirloom pieces.

The range includes pieces incorporating Polki diamonds, rubies and emeralds, with the designs positioned around bridal and wedding occasions. The collection’s assortment covers different necklace formats, including chokers and longer statement necklaces.

The launch comes as bridal jewellery continues to draw on traditional Indian motifs and gemstone combinations while being presented through contemporary collections.

For the jewellery trade, The Maharani Edit reflects the continued use of heritage-inspired design, Polki diamonds and coloured gemstones in bridal jewellery. The inclusion of Navratan and ruby-led pieces also places traditional gemstone jewellery within the current bridal category.

The collection is positioned as an edit of heirloom-style wedding jewellery, with the design language referencing royal Indian jewellery traditions rather than contemporary minimal jewellery.

Kumar Jewels’ latest collection adds to the current bridal jewellery market, where Polki, coloured gemstones and traditional necklace formats continue to feature prominently in wedding-focused offerings.
