African Diamonds increases stake in AK6 diamond mine

The miner now holds 40% stake in the mine

Organisers of the Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair (BGJF) have outlined the forthcoming BGJF shows –with a new format which will provide an environment for business along with an element of entertainment and recreation. The fist such event will be the 41st BGJF to be held between February 27 - March 2, 2008.%%The organisers intent to provide a holistic feel of the host country, which is rich in both its coloured gemstones, landscapes and culture. For this they plan to hold side trips, excursions and tour programmes especially for BGJF visitors.%%"We want to tell our foreign friends and partners to take advantage of being at BGJF to gain other good personal experiences, which the kingdom has had to offer," said Vichai Assarasakorn, president of Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA), organiser of the BGJF.%%The 41st edition will welcome 1,500 exhibitors from 50 countries, occupying about 3,500 booths. The event will be set up over 100,000 sq. m. area at the Impact Challenger.
