Zale reported a decline in its same-store sales’ in the first quarter of the current year. The sales dropped by 0.4%and revenues by 1.2% to value at $378 million. These figures do not include the performance of Bailey, Banks and Biddle chain.%%The Signet Group on the reverse, witnessed an increase of 3.2% in its same-store sales during this year's third quarter, and sales increased by 10% (7.9% at constant exchange rates) to value at $678.7 million. Its same-store sales in the US rose by 2.5%, while total sales recorded a 10.1 % rise to be worth $488.1 million. Since the beginning of the year, Signet's same-store sales rose by 3.2% and total sales increased by 9.4% to $2.280 billion.
