Sparkle is a three-day exhibition-cum-conference format for business and networking being held in Surat, India’s prominent hub for diamond polishing cutting and crafting of diamond jewellery. The event is scheduled between December 26 -29, 2008, and is being organised on a scale that the city has never seen before. %% The purpose behind the event is to promote gems and jewellery in the backdrop of economic stress, low business spirit and not so encouraging commodity prices. Attendance at the show is expected to be of around 250 foreign, business delegates from Antwerp, New York, Italy, Hong Kong and other prominent global hubs of the trade. %% The conference is being organised as part of ensuing Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summit-2009, and will host speakers from World Gold Council and Diamond Trading Company (DTC), sharing their views on how to tackle the market meltdown.
