Alrosa reported $150 million worth of rough diamond sales in the first 10 days of August 2009. The mining company had closed its sales of diamonds for some months due to the economic slowdown, but has resumed commercial sales in July, most being long-term contracts. During July, it de-stocked rough diamond through sales worth $150 million. %% Reports say that the company is also considering developing proposals of pricing and sales, to de-stock polished diamonds that it had withheld from sales during the economic downturn.
