The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA)has issued a statement that its 2011 ICA Congress is slated to be held in Brazil. The venue was confirmed after the signing of an agreement with IBGM, the Brazilian Gems & Jewellery Trade Association, to host the ICA Congress in Rio de Janeiro. %% The IBGM has been since long been actively involved in ICA activities and supports the ICA Congress. The ICA along with IBGM are considering the months of May or June next year to host the Congress, but final dates will be decided within a few weeks. Discussions are underway to prepare an ICA Mine Tour in Brazil immediately after the Congress; to draw many participants.
