BHP Billiton ended its fiscal year on June 30, 2010 with a 42 percent rise in its revenues from diamonds and specialty products, which valued $1.2 billion. The company’s total revenues increased 5 percent to $52.79 billion and net profits jump 116 percent to $12.72 billion. %% In the said period, the company’s earnings before interest and tax at the unit rose 234 percent to $485 million. The company’s diamonds and specialty business consists of rough and polished diamond operations, and of titanium, zircon and potash.
