A review of security systems and measures at the diamond District in New York, promoted Moshe Mosbacher, president of the Diamond Dealers Club of New York (DDCNY) to meet New York City Police Department (NYPD) Deputy Inspector Timothy Beaudette, Commanding Officer Midtown North Precinct, recently. The meeting was attended also by DDC's Security Director, Rick Pettignano, and its Managing Director, Dr. Martin Hochbaum. %% Mosbacher stated that, "The meeting with Inspector Beaudette and his associates, Sergeant Jerry Ioveno and Detective Stephen Giaco, was part of DDC's longstanding effort to ensure that the Diamond District receives from the New York City Police Department the maximum protection due to its special circumstances and needs." %% The DDC president expressed the Club's appreciation for the long standing and positive relationship between the NYPD and DDC and also stressed that prompt responsiveness of the Police Department to the security concerns of DDC members. Inspector Beaudette reported new security cameras on 47th Street procured by the BID provided an added level of protection for the industry.
