The speculative situation in Europe continued to stir the gold prices. Today, both gold and silver touched record highs. In Mumbai, standard gold (99.5 per cent purity) rose Rs 75 per 10 grams and closed at Rs 20,615 from the previous nights closing of Rs 20,540. Also, pure gold (99.9 per cent purity) rose around the same to close at Rs 20,710 from the precious day close of Rs 20,635.
