Show cause notice to Surat's diamond merchant by GJEPC

The merchant was accused of selling synthetic diamonds as natural diamonds

%% The event held in Surat, was themed around, “Diamond – A Symbol of Love”, and aimed at promoting and highlighting the importance of diamonds in one’s life. %%
%% The event was intended to spread the message of “Colours for a cause”. The primary objectives of the art event were to give artists around the state a recognized platform to display their talent and skills, show Surat’s “social responsibility” side to the global diamond industry, and generate funds for the education and healthcare of workers in the diamond sector. %%
%% The event was inaugurated by well known theatre personality Mr. Yajdi Karanjiya. To motivate the participants, a complimentary prize was announced for all. The art event saw more than 1500 visitors. Additiinally, cash prizes were given away to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners. The painting will be auctioned and the auction money donated to NGOs. %%
