The Loupe, GIA's news magazine has turned 60. A special editorial has been selected to mark this occasion with the magazine’s Summer 2007 issue. The cover story profiles The Loup’s progress at GIA and the industry from its first, four-page issue in 1947 to the 36-plus page magazine it is today.
“Laboratory News” is the new section introduced to inform about GIA’s Laboratory services and key developments. There is also a feature write-up on Bernd Munsteiner’s jewellery and gem sculptures displayed at GIA’s Carlsbad, California.
India has been featured as “Colorful Jaipur” , while GIA’s Course Development team and Graduate Jeweler programme are also part of the editorial. The issue also peeks into industry events like GemFest Basel, the recent ICA Congress, the Sinkankas Symposium, and GIA involvement in JCK Las Vegas. This 60th Anniversary issue is all set to celebrate the global gem and jewellery industry and its progress ahead.
