GHI’s research has been credited to deliver identification projects on high pressure high temperature (HPHT) treatments of natural diamonds, HPHT lab-grown diamonds, Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD) lab-grown diamonds, coated, irradiated and annealed diamonds.

Gemology Headquarters International (GHI) has recently opened its first branch in India, at Mumbai's diamond hub - Opera House. GHI in India, will offer an entire gamut of services related to research and testing information of diamonds. This includes gem identification, evaluation reports, research on natural, treated and synthetic diamonds and testing of diamonds and coloured stones.
It will also conduct seminars and training workshops for consumers and the industry. “Our focus is to respond quickly to the needs of the Indian diamond industry,” GHI India general manager, Dusan Simic, mentioned. GHI is a US-based gemmological grading and research laboratory.
